Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a skilled automation engineer in Bengaluru to drive Python-based automation for Automotive ADAS projects. You will generate test specifications from Flow and ICD docs, update specs in JIRA, and build Python/Django toolchains to support advanced automotive systems.

The role requires deep Python expertise, Django experience, and familiarity with AUTOSAR testing frameworks, REST APIs, and Agile SDLC. On-site in Bengaluru with a hands-on, self-starter mindset.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Computer or Electronics with 4–7 years experience.
• Strong Python Full Stack skills (HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JS, Django).
• Experience with extracting content from multiple file formats (xlsx, csv, xml).
• Good understanding of Python data types and OOP concepts.
• Knowledge of SOLID principles and REST APIs.
• Experience with JIRA/Confluence and REST APIs.
• Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and Jenkins.
• Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (Scrum/Kanban).

Responsibilities

• Handling automation tasks in Python: generate test specs per Flow and ICD docs; update specs in JIRA; adapt specs from test feedback.

This opening is for an ADAS Domain Controller project for a prestigious OEM, where Luxoft is working with the OEM teams to deliver next-generation Platform solution based on AUTOSAR Classic, AUTOSAR Adaptive and QNX working together as a system interacting with a host of cameras, ultrasound sensors, internal and external Radars.Luxoft is collaborating on Signal and Service Management, Diagnostics, SW Update, Vehicle Config, QNX/Middleware and Software Architecture areas with the OEM directly.Luxoft is expected to delivery quality and expert support in the above areas, drive topics independently, liaise with other OEM stakeholders to remove blockers. The ideal candidate needs to have endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver, have a never-give-up attitude and be a self-starter who can think of out-of-the-box solutions. The successful candidate will be a team player, display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to Client's changing needs.

Responsibilities

• Handling automation tasks in Python:- generate test specification files for Flow according to Signal Manager Specs and Master ICD documents- update test specifications for newer versions of Master ICD- populate different attributes of test cases in JIRA- update test specification files based on test execution feedback
• Develop Toolchains in Python and Django framework for advanced automotive systems
• Develop test automation framework for Autosar

SKILLS

Must have

• Engineering in Computer, Electronics, or equivalent with 4 to 7 years of experience
• Should have experience in Python Full Stack Development (HTML5, CSS3, BootStrap, JavaScript, Python and Django)
• Have knowledge of extracting content in different file formats (e.g., xlsx, csv, xml, etc.)
• Good understanding of Python data types and when to use which data type
• Proper knowledge of OOP concepts
• Good understanding of Python operators
• Knowledge of the SOLID principle
• Have knowledge of accessing JIRA, Confluence and other servers' REST APIs
• Have knowledge of Python libs to create different file formats as output for end-user review
• Should have experience in any SQL or NoSQL database
• Should have understanding and experience in Tool Development in the AUTOMOTIVE domain
• Should have experience in Git/GitHub/GitLab and Jenkins
• Should have experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies (Scrum/ Kanban)
