Automation Engineer / Powershell Developer

To support Nexthink Accelerate Services, we are looking for an Automation Engineer who will work closely with our delivery consultants to perform feasibility studies and design automation solutions addressing customers’ infrastructure and system issues and/or problems.

The main responsibilities of the role are:

  1. Analyze and evaluate requirements by thoroughly understanding all parameters interacting with and affecting the system.
  2. Design, develop, and test scripts/automation modules for production systems using PowerShell and Bash.
  3. Create and maintain workflows.
  4. Create and maintain script documentation.
  5. Integrate PowerShell and Bash with multiple systems using APIs.
  6. Maintain, improve, and add new features to legacy code.

You would be an ideal candidate if you:

  • Hold a BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in development.
  • Possess strong scripting knowledge in PowerShell supporting large Windows infrastructure environments.
  • Are proficient in Bash scripting in macOS environments.
  • Have experience working with APIs and webhooks (a plus).
  • Have a good understanding of Python scripting.
  • Are experienced with contemporary development tools such as Git.
  • Can interface with other applications like ServiceNow and other IT applications.
  • Have experience developing PowerShell scripts for the Office 365 product suite, including SharePoint, Teams, and Office Administration.
  • Have a good knowledge of infrastructure, networking, and security.
  • Possess strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills.
  • Have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
  • Are quick learners of new technologies in an unsupervised environment.
