Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Bengaluru, India is seeking an Automation Engineer to support multi-organizational integration and end-to-end process automation projects within an enterprise data warehouse context.

The role requires a software-minded automation engineer who can design, implement, and optimize automation tasks using Azure Logic Apps, Functions, SQL, and related tools, while collaborating with business and data teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud-based automation and integration.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Logic Apps, Functions, and SQL.
• Experience with DevOps practices and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with REST APIs and SOAP/XML integrations.
• Experience with Active Directory and SCCM or similar mgmt tools.
• Backend experience with ASP.NET Core and EF Core.
• Familiarity with data integration in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Power BI for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers and analysts on delivery architecture across projects.
• As staff engineer, contribute to strategic priorities and technical decisions.
• Lead stakeholder engagements with business, product, and data teams.
• Provide technical direction and document processes.
• Design, develop, simulate, and test automation tasks using Azure stack (Logic Apps, Functions, SQL).
• Create and maintain optimal data integration solutions and architectures.
• Monitor, review, and report status of automation services across the organization.
• Act as escalation point for incidents and upgrade planning.

Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic self-starter to join our team as an Automation Engineer. The role is required to support the delivery of multi-organizational integration, end-to-end process automation projects, and our enterprise data warehouse (including MDM, ODS, and historic/modelled data).

The ideal candidate will be an experienced automation/integration engineer with a software development background who enjoys optimizing systems as well as building them from the ground up.

Your role

• Support our engineers, automation architects, and analysts on initiatives, ensuring the optimal delivery architecture is applied throughout ongoing and future projects.
• As a staff engineer, hold a strategic understanding of company priorities and make technical decisions to solve business problems.
• Lead engagements with various stakeholders, including business leaders and the product and data teams, for deep, complex, or high-risk technical projects. Manage communications and support infrastructure needs.
• Provide context and technical direction, contribute to technical specifications, and help document processes.
• Design, develop, simulate, and test automation and integration tasks using enterprise-scale integration tools within the Azure technology stack, including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Microsoft System Center Orchestrator.
• Create and maintain optimal integration solutions, including data integration architecture, and support existing integrations.
• Manage, review, monitor, and report on the status of services that provide automation and integration capabilities across the organization.
• Act as the escalation point for all incidents associated with the service.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments, evaluating and implementing new technologies where appropriate.
• Plan and implement technology upgrades, maintenance activities, and fixes.
