AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior Automation Engineer with 10 to 12 years of experience to support multi-organizational integration and end-to-end automation projects, including data warehouse automation. You will design, build, test, and optimize automation solutions in the Azure stack and collaborate with product and data teams to solve business problems.

Qualifications

• 3 yrs experience in Azure Cloud Services: Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure SQL.
• PowerShell and T-SQL proficiency required.
• REST APIs and SOAP/XML knowledge helpful.
• Experience with Active Directory and management tools advantageous.
• Familiarity with other System Center products (e.g., SCCM) is desirable.

Responsibilities

Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic self-starter to join our team as an Automation Engineer with 10 to 12 yrs experience. The role is required to support the delivery of multi-organizational integration, end-to-end process automation projects, and our enterprise data warehouse (including MDM, ODS, and historic/modelled data).

The ideal candidate will be an experienced automation/integration engineer with a software development background who enjoys optimizing systems as well as building them from the ground up.

Your role

• Support our engineers, automation architects, and analysts on initiatives, ensuring the optimal delivery architecture is applied throughout ongoing and future projects.
• As a staff engineer, hold a strategic understanding of company priorities and make technical decisions to solve business problems.
• Lead engagements with various stakeholders, including business leaders and the product and data teams, for deep, complex, or high-risk technical projects. Manage communications and support infrastructure needs.
• Provide context and technical direction, contribute to technical specifications, and help document processes.
• Design, develop, simulate, and test automation and integration tasks using enterprise-scale integration tools within the Azure technology stack, including Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, and Microsoft System Center Orchestrator.
• Create and maintain optimal integration solutions, including data integration architecture, and support existing integrations.
• Manage, review, monitor, and report on the status of services that provide automation and integration capabilities across the organization.
• Act as the escalation point for all incidents associated with the service.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments, evaluating and implementing new technologies where appropriate.
• Plan and implement technology upgrades, maintenance activities, and fixes.
