Job summary

Gajanan And Sons Fire Safety is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Engineer to prepare engineering drawings and layouts for fire protection and safety systems. The candidate will produce accurate CAD drawings based on site requirements, engineering designs, and applicable standards.

You will create 2D AutoCAD drawings, layouts for hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, and piping, and develop isometrics, schematics, and installation drawings while coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Knowledge of fire protection system drawings will be an advantage.
• Understanding of basic piping, valves, pumps, sprinklers and fire alarm systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and architectural plans.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Good drafting accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a project team.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD drawings for fire protection and fire safety systems.
• Prepare layouts for Fire Hydrant, Sprinkler, Fire Alarm, Detection, Gas Suppression and other fire protection systems.
• Prepare Piping Layouts, Isometric Drawings, Schematic Drawings, Equipment Layouts and Installation Drawings.
• Develop drawings based on site measurements, engineering inputs and approved designs.
• Modify and update drawings as per client/consultant comments.
• Prepare As-Built Drawings after completion of installation work.
• Coordinate with the design, project and site execution teams.
• Review drawings for dimensions, accuracy, equipment locations and piping routes.
• Maintain proper drawing records and revision control.
• Visit project sites when required for measurements and verification.
• Follow applicable NBC, NFPA, IS and project-specific standards.
• Prepare drawings for submission to clients, consultants and authorities.
• Support the engineering team in BOQ preparation and technical documentation when required.

Qualification

Preferred Candidate

• Experience in Fire Protection / MEP / Piping / Industrial Projects will be preferred.
• Freshers with good AutoCAD skills and willingness to learn may also apply.
