Job summary

One Story in Mumbai's Andheri West is seeking a Mechanical Drafting & Planning professional for an on-site, 5-day work week. Candidates with 1–2 years' experience, AutoCAD certification, and strong MS Project/Office skills are preferred.

Responsibilities include creating schedules and technical drawings, coordinating with site engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role is office/field-facing and fully on-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in planning, drafting, or related role.
• Must hold AutoCAD certification.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of 3D drafting/modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Revit, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and milestones using MS Project, MS Office, or similar tools.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and propose timely corrective actions to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define resource requirements (manpower, materials, equipment).
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits for measurements, surveys, or client meetings as required.

• Create, review, and update technical drawings, blueprints, datasheets, and schematics using AutoCAD
• Modify existing designs based on evolving project needs and client feedback
• Ensure all drawings comply with applicable industry standards, safety codes, and regulatory norms
• Coordinate with site engineers and project teams to resolve design-related issues during execution
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with architects, designers, and project managers to align drafting and planning efforts with design intent
• Participate in regular project meetings and provide progress updates
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address design, scheduling, or technical concerns
