Position Overview
AutoCAD Draftsman creates precise 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and models for construction or manufacturing projects using AutoCAD software. The role involves translating engineer/architect sketches into detailed, compliant blueprints, revising drawings based on feedback, and collaborating with teams to ensure accuracy and adherence to structural standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting & Modeling: Generate detailed 2D/3D drawings, plans, elevations, and sections for projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Technical Revisions: Edit existing drawings to incorporate design changes, revisions, and site feedback.
- Collaboration: Work with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate sketches into technical drawings.
- Documentation: Organise and maintain drawing files, ensuring proper documentation of project technical data.
- Compliance: Verify that all designs comply with safety regulations and structural requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D) and familiarity with Microsoft Office; specific industry software such as SolidWorks or REVIT may be required.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, blueprints, and engineering standards.
- Attention to Detail: High precision to identify errors and ensure accuracy in layouts.
