The AutoCAD Engineer will prepare accurate, coordinated and execution-ready drawings for Extra-Low Voltage systems. The role supports the design, estimation, project, and site teams by converting approved concepts and technical inputs into clear layouts, schematics, shop drawings and as-built documentation.
Prepare and revise ELV drawings, including layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams, riser diagrams, wiring diagrams, rack elevations and equipment details.
Develop shop drawings for CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, structured cabling, networking, intercom, intrusion detection, BMS and other integrated systems, as applicable.
Convert tender drawings, design concepts, BOQs, red-line mark-ups and site inputs into coordinated drawings for submission and execution.
Coordinate ELV drawings with architectural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and civil drawings to identify and resolve clashes or interface issues.
Prepare device layouts, containment routes, cable routing, conduit and tray details, equipment‑room layouts and installation details.
Incorporate consultant and client comments accurately, maintain revision control and issue drawings in accordance with the approved document process.
Prepare as‑built drawings based on verified site conditions and completed installation records.
Support quantity take‑offs and BOQ validation by checking device counts, cable lengths, containment quantities and related drawing information.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, site teams, vendors and consultants to obtain technical inputs and close drawing‑related queries.
Maintain drawing registers, file naming conventions, templates, blocks, layer standards and an organised digital archive.
Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, approved makes, relevant codes, client standards and company quality requirements.
Visit project sites as needed to verify measurements, understand execution constraints, and capture inputs for revisions or as‑built drawings.
Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
Two to four years of hands‑on AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably with an ELV system integrator, MEP consultant, contractor or project organisation.
Practical knowledge of ELV systems and their drawing requirements; experience across multiple systems will be preferred.
Strong working proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, including layers, blocks, xrefs, layouts, plotting, scaling and drawing standards.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PDF mark‑up tools. Exposure to Revit or BIM will be an advantage.
Ability to interpret architectural, electrical and MEP drawings, technical specifications and BOQs.
