Job summary

Ramboll India is seeking an ELV AutoCAD Engineer to deliver detailed drawings for ELV systems in data centers and critical facilities. Based in Chennai (preferred) with opportunities to work across India, you will develop layout drawings and support design teams to ensure accurate construction documentation.

You will work on CCTV, access control, fire alarm, PA/VA systems, and cable routing, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining BIM-friendly practices and compliance with

Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Telecom.
• ITI/Draftsman certification with ELV experience acceptable.
• 2–6 years ELV drafting / AutoCAD drawings or REVIT.
• Experience in Data centers / commercial buildings / large infrastructure projects preferred.
• BIM / Revit exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• AutoCAD drawing development for ELV systems (CCTV, ACS, Fire Alarm).
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver construction drawings.
• Prepare device layouts, cable routing, and single-line diagrams.
• Ensure drawings meet project standards and client requirements.

Job Description

Location: - Chennai (Preferred) | Mumbai | Bangalore | Hyderabad | Gurgaon | Noida

The ELV AutoCAD Engineer will be responsible for preparing and managing detailed AutoCAD drawings for ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems in Data Center and mission- critical projects.

This role is drawing-centric (execution role) with strong involvement in:

• ELV layout development
• Coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
• Supporting design engineers in delivering accurate, high-quality construction drawings

Key Responsibilities

• AutoCAD Drawing Development (CORE RESPONSIBILITY)
• Prepare and update detailed AutoCAD drawings for:
• CCTV systems (camera layouts, coverage zones)
• Access Control Systems (door layouts, reader locations)
• Fire Alarm Systems (detectors, panels, loops)PA/VA systems
• Develop:Device layouts and placement drawings
• Cable routing and containment layouts
• Schematic diagrams (single-line, system diagrams)
• Ensure drawings meet project standards and client requirement

ELV System Drafting & Detailing

• Translate design inputs into detailed drawings
• Prepare:Riser diagrams
• Zoning layouts (security zones, access levels)
• Equipment room layouts (ELV rooms, control rooms)
• Maintain layer standards, blocks, legends, and templates

Mandatory Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (MANDATORY)
• Good understanding of:
• ELV systems (CCTV, ACS, Fire Alarm, PA/VA)
• Basic cable routing and device placement
• Ability to read and interpret:
• SchematicsLayout drawings
• Coordination drawings
• Software Skills
• AutoCAD (2D) - Essential
• Revit / BIM - Preferred
• MS Excel / Word - Basic level

Qualifications

• Diploma / BE / BTech in:Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Telecom

• 2 to 6 years experience in:
• ELV drafting / AutoCAD drawings or REVIT

• TIA-942 / NFPA / NBC standards
• Basic understanding of:
• IBMS / BMS integration concepts
