About this role

Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD.Develop detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings.Prepare drawings for sheet-metal components, enclosures, brackets and mechanical parts.Convert engineering concepts and sketches into detailed CAD drawings.Prepare assembly drawings, part drawings and BOMs.Ensure drawings comply with required dimensions, tolerances and specifications.Coordinate with Production, Quality and Engineering teams for design requirements.Modify drawings based on production feedback and design changes.Maintain and update engineering drawings and drawing records.Assist in developing new product designs and improving existing designs.Provide technical drawing support to the manufacturing team.Ensure accuracy and consistency of all released drawings.

Requirements

• Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field. Candidates with a Diploma and strong AutoCAD skills may also be considered.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D is essential. Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D / SolidWorks will be an advantage. Good understanding of mechanical drawings and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, sections, views and GD&T basics. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Good knowledge of sheet-metal design and fabrication will be preferred. Good understanding of materials, fasteners and basic mechanical components. Attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and coordination skills.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred. Freshers with strong AutoCAD skills and a good understanding of engineering drawings may also be considered.
