Job summary

Intertek is seeking an experienced auditor to lead and participate in social, technical, and environmental audits across client sites in India. The role requires preparing comprehensive audit reports, CAPs, and related documentation with adherence to quality and timeline targets.

The candidate should have 5+ years of industry experience or 2+ years in third-party auditing, and possess knowledge of Indian labor laws, EH&S requirements, and quality systems. Travel will be extensive as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have an Engineering or Law/Environment/Chemical/Textiles degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience or 2 years of third-party auditing experience for social, technical and environmental audits.
• Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulations, EH&S requirements and quality/production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead or be a part of audit teams, following SOP/work instructions.
• Ensure all relevant material/documents are collected during audits and submit reports, CAPs and related documents.
• Maintain audit files and ensure confidentiality of information.
• Travel as needed and assist in travel planning on short notice.
• Share law updates with the team when relevant changes occur.

Job Responsibilities

Auditing and Report Preparation

• Fully understand and conduct audits as a leader or a member of the audit team as per the SOP/work instructions
• Ensure all relevant material/ documents are taken during audits
• Prepare and submit all Reports, CAPs and other audit related documents in a complete, comprehensive and presentable manner consistent with Client/ Intertek quality and TAT guidelines
• Ensure confidentiality of information obtained during the course of employment
• Travel and assist in trip planning with short notices as per operational requirements
• Completion and maintenance of audit files

Training

• Participate in all the training courses as and when scheduled
• Share law updates with the team in case a new law or changes in an existing law comes into notice

Qualification

Any Engineering or Degree in Law/ Environment/ Chemical/Textiles/ or Equivalent

Technical Certifications

• Holding Lead Auditor Certifications like SA8000, WRAP, BSCI, PSCI, RJC, TFS, RBA, QMS, EMS, OHSAS, SEDEX
• Preference - if he/she is approved for PSCI, RBA and BSCI Audits
• APSCA Qualification - ASCA/CSCA

Experience

• Minimum 05 years of Industry working experience or
• Minimum 02 years of third-party auditing experience for
• Social audits, technical audits and Environmental audits
