Sentient an Ascend Company is seeking a full-time audit professional to lead client engagements and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables. You will coordinate with client teams, assign juniors, monitor budgets, and apply US GAAP/GAAS across engagements for Construction, CRE, and related sectors.

Collaborate with global teams in India and the U.S., uphold firm values, and drive process improvements while maintaining strong client relations and professional communication.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
• Articleship with other Big4 or mid-tier accounting firms.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS.

About the role:

As a full-time audit professional, you would be the main point of contact from Sentient for the tasks assigned by the client/ engagement teams and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of deliverables along with managing day-to-day operations of those client/ engagements. Responsibilities include:

This role primarily focuses on clients in the – Construction + CRE, & Other organizations. You will be involved in various engagement types, including Reviews, Audits, and Compilations, ensuring thorough and compliant execution of each engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a client/ engagement and deliver high-quality work as per the audit methodology and in line with the client/ engagement team expectations.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of aligned client/ engagement and audit methodology while performing various procedures, along with knowledge of audit tools to make execution/ review more efficient and meaningful.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with the client/ engagement team.
• Proactively discuss workflow management with the client/ engagement team, allocating juniors to the assigned work and monitoring performance against standards. Monitor utilization for self/ team, budget to actuals, and other operational matters.
• Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the client/ engagement team.
• Identify opportunities to improve the scope of work.
• Standardize execution/ review processes along with leveraging best practices across one’s aligned client/ engagements or beyond.
• Motivate and lead team members, identify and foster key talents, coach and supervise team members.
• Be responsible for various operational matters related to client/ engagements aligned.
• Lead by example.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Articleship with other Big4 or mid-tier accounting firms
• Qualified candidates - 2+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits
• Non-Qualified candidates - 3+ years of relevant work experience in US Audits
• Deep knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
• Proficiency in using various audit tools and applications
