Job summary

Shaliya & Associates is seeking an Audit & Accounts Executive to join our growing team in Maharashtra, Mumbai Suburban. The role involves handling day-to-day accounting, tax computations, and assisting in audits across multiple clients.

The candidate should have B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter or equivalent, with 24 years of relevant experience and knowledge of Tally and MS Excel. Prior CA firm exposure is preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Good practical knowledge of accounting.
• Experience in Income Tax computation.
• Practical exposure to audit work.

Responsibilities

• Handle and review day-to-day accounting entries
• Check sales, purchase, expense, bank and journal entries
• Perform ledger scrutiny and reconciliation
• Assist in preparation and finalisation of accounts
• Prepare Income Tax computations and assist in ITR preparation
• Assist in Statutory Audit and Internal Audit assignments
• Prepare audit working papers and schedules
• Perform vouching and verification
• Review work prepared by junior accounting staff
• Identify accounting errors and discrepancies
• Assist with GST and TDS-related work
• Coordinate with clients for required documents and information
• Visit client locations for audit assignments whenever required
