Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad seeks a senior Audio HW Systems Engineer with deep expertise in MIPI SoundWire and SDCA to influence industry standards and deliver next-generation audio codecs for Snapdragon platforms.

You will work with HW, Algorithm, and Software teams to define architectures, prototype, validate, and scale audio subsystems across mobile phones, XR, automotive, and IoT devices. A Master’s degree is required or PhD equivalent skillset.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of audio interfaces such as SoundWire, I2S, Slimbus, PCM, PDM.
• Experience with audio codec HW system design (analog, digital, or mixed-signal).
• Understanding of HW–SW co-design, control/data plane interfaces, and embedded system constraints.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to MIPI SoundWire and SDCA standardization efforts, including discussions, reviews, and proposals.
• Drive SoundWire and SDCA architecture definition for audio codecs, speaker amplifiers, and audio subsystems across Qualcomm platforms.
• Define and review SoundWire HW-SW interfaces, data/control flows, discovery, enumeration, synchronization, and power management.
• Support end-to-end HW–SW system design, development, prototyping, validation, and commercialization of audio solutions.
