Job summary

Qualcomm India Private Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a Sr Audio/DSP Engineer to join the Audio/DSP ISV team. You will support software features development, DSP module integration, and debugging for Qualcomm Mobile platform customer projects.

The role requires 3–6 years in embedded DSP and firmware, strong C/C++, ARM, RTOS knowledge, and experience with audio workflows and Linux ALSA. Graduate degree in Electronics/EC engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Electronics and Communications engineering.
• 3+ years embedded DSP and firmware experience.
• Experience with C/C++, ARM, and debugging.
• Knowledge of Linux ALSA and audio drivers is required.

Responsibilities

• Support DSP Audio algorithm porting and framework customizations.
• Optimize audio algorithms for DSP platforms.
• Debug DSP audio modules and end-to-end use case implementations.
• Provide technical support to customers on Qualcomm mobile platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.

Job function: As part of Audio/DSP ISV team, need to support Qualcomm Mobile platform customer projects. Candidate should deal with the Audio feature development, customizations based on customer requirements and DSP module integration support and debugging.

Skills/experience

• 3+ years of experience in embedded domain in DSP and Firmware development.
• Hands-on experience in Audio Workflow, Integration of DSP Audio modules in Embedded platforms.
• Hands on experience on integrating & debugging audio workflow in Realtime embedded environment is a must
• Knowledge in Linux ALSA architecture/Audio drivers is a must.
• Experience in optimizing the audio algorithms into DSP platforms is an added advantage.
• Experience in Hexagon framework/SDK is a plus.
• Good RTOS concepts, knowledge of ARM architecture.
• Very good Programming experience in C/C++ , ARM assembly coding, and Debug skills.
• Knowledge of audio digital signal processing is a plus.
• Knowledge in ML accelerators, optimizing algorithms for hardware acceleration cores is real added advantage.
• Responsibilities: The candidate will support DSP Audio Algorithm porting including framework customizations, optimizations and issues debugging, Technical Support on end-to-end use case implementation on the DSP platform.
• Education requirements: Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communications engineering
