BruntWork is seeking an AU Senior Accountant (Cash Flow & Financial Reporting) to own cash flow reporting, GL activity, and EOFY compliance from a remote India-based team. You will ensure Australian accounting standards are followed and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.

The role offers a standard 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM AEST) with a focus on accuracy, timely month-end closes, and robust financial controls while working from home.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• CA/CPA qualification in progress or completed.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and EOFY requirements.
• Proficient in MS Excel and communication with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Daily EFT processing and cash receipting; manage supplier payment runs.
• Prepare daily cash flow reports and assist budgets/forecasts.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations; resolve variances.
• Create/post/review general ledger entries and transactions.
• Manage month-end and EOFY reconciliations and journals.
• Maintain the group's fixed asset registers.
• Reconcile balance sheet items accurately and timely.
• Prepare compliance reports for internal/external stakeholders.
• Liaise with internal teams and external parties as required.

Are you a CA/CPA-qualified accountant ready to take ownership of financial operations and ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards?

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced AU Senior Accountant (Cash Flow & Financial Reporting) to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including cash flow reporting, bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, month-end and year-end closing processes, compliance, and Australian accounting standards across internal and external stakeholders.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM AEST | With a 1-hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Daily EFT processing and cash receipting | Management of supplier payment runs


• Preparation of daily cash flow reports and assistance with budgets and cash flow forecasts


• Bank and credit card reconciliations, including investigation and resolution of variances


• Creation, posting, and review of general ledger entries and transactions


• Month-end and EOFY reconciliations, including general journals, intercompany journals, accruals, prepayments, and associated schedules


• Maintenance of the group's fixed asset registers


• Timely and accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet items


• Compliance reporting for key internal and external stakeholders


• Liaising with internal teams and external parties as required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience within an accounting team


• Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent qualification


• CA/CPA qualified or currently progressing toward qualification


• Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards, tax regulations, and EOFY compliance requirements


• Proven ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines with minimal supervision.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel


• Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders


• Must have a Windows-based PC that meets the required specifications to perform the role's daily tasks and responsibilities
