Job summary

BTVK Advisory in India is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead engagements and guide staff through pre-audit planning and fieldwork. The role involves reviewing client accounting procedures and contributing to the preparation of audit deliverables.

The ideal candidate has a CA/CPA preference, with at least 3 years in US Assurance or public accounting, and strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience (in US Assurance preferred).
• Experience in a public accounting firm preferred.
• Experience in managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and report writing skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff on pre-audit planning and fieldwork, reviewing client accounting procedures.
• Perform testing to support an audit opinion, including work papers and control testing.
• Research technical issues arising during engagements.
• Create draft audit reports for management review.
• Assist managers and partners in risk assessment and audit plan programs.
• Build relationships with existing clients and network to identify opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement them.

• Oversee staff on pre-audit planning and field work for engagements, reviewing client accounting and operating procedures
• Perform testing and planning to support an audit opinion, including preparing supporting work paper documentation in more complex areas, performing internal control and substantive testing, conducting analytical reviews of account balances, and preparing financial statements
• Research technical issues that arise during the course of engagements.
• Create draft audit reports for management review
• Assist Managers and Partners in preparing risk assessment and developing audit plan programs.
• Build relationships with existing clients, including involvement in networking
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required
• CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience (in US Assurance preferred)
• Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
• Experience in managing multiple client engagements at the same time
• Motivated to meet client deadlines and provide excellent client service
• Strong analytical and report writing skills required
• Comprehensive understanding of data analysis techniques
• Creative problem solving and research skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
