Job summary

BTVK Advisory, part of Baker Tilly US, is seeking an accounting professional in Bengaluru to deliver accounting services and cloud-based consulting. You will work on month-end close, financial reporting, and client engagements, both independently and as part of a team.

Strong US GAAP/Ind AS knowledge and Excel expertise are valued. Ideal candidates hold a CPA or CA qualification and possess excellent communication and analytical skills, with a proactive mindset for client service and process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred.
  • Strong willingness to learn and use technology for client service.
  • Ability to work in a closely-knit team and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; experience with cloud accounting tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP/Ind AS and financial reporting basics.
  • Experience with AP/AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting services and related consulting to clients.

Responsibilities


  • Provide outstanding service to our dynamic client base by delivering accounting services and related consulting.

  • Work independently helping clients execute their financial transactions using cloud-based accounting tools.

  • Work as part of a team to prepare month end close and financial reporting.

  • Proactively manage conflicting deadlines and priorities, clearly communicating progress with clients and team.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or a related field required.

  • CPA (US) or CA (ICAI) preferred.

  • A passion for learning and using technology to deliver the highest possible client service.

  • Ability to be a part of our closely-knit team,but also mature enough to function independently.

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.

  • Highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for personal growth and development.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook).Experience with QuickBooks Online or other cloud-based accounting systems and tools preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good understanding of US GAAP/Ind AS, accounting principles, and financial reporting. Experience with month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

  • Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment while also managing responsibilities independently with minimal supervision.
