Job summary

Buro Happold is seeking an Associate Wet Utilities Engineer to join our Mumbai/Bengaluru team. You will lead design and management of water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems, coordinating with clients and contractors to deliver projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in mobility planning, a Master’s in planning or civil engineering, and strong software skills (AutoCAD, Civil 3D). This full-time role offers growth, collaboration, and diverse project exposure.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in mobility planning for urban development or infrastructure.
• Master's degree or equivalent in planning or civil engineering.
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, planners, policy officials, and other professionals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of wet utility systems for various projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
• Site visits to check adherence to design philosophy/intent.

Your next role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Associate Wet Utilities Engineer to join our team in Mumbai/Bengaluru. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, and management of wet utility systems, including water supply, wastewater, and stormwater drainage. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering principles, local regulations, and best practices in wet utilities.

• Lead the design and implementation of wet utility systems for various projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Your Skills And Experience

• 10+ Years of Relevant experience in mobility planning, including experience working on multi-disciplinary projects in urban development and/or infrastructure
• Master's Degree or equivalent in planning or civil engineering
• Ability to communicate and interact comfortably with a range built-environment professionals such as engineers, planners, engineers, policy officials, etc.
• Critical analytic thinking capabilities
• Extensive experience in wet utilities engineering, with a focus on water supply, wastewater, and stormwater systems.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, standards, and best practices in wet utilities.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
