Job Overview

The main purpose of the role is to manage technical aspects of system build integrations and work closely with the system design project manager.

The role will be involved in the study build process from kick-off meeting to go live and integration build related activities during the maintenance phase.

The main responsibilities will be around authoring and updating specification documents (SRS, data transfer specs, report specs), initiating and coordinating implementation activities with technical operation groups, and providing technical guidance and support to project management team members in build and maintenance.

Specification Documents

1. Update System Requirement Specification (SRS) document.
2. Review Client Data Transfer Specifications.
3. Author IRT Data Transfer Specifications.
4. Update User Requirement Specification (URS) document.
5. Author URS addendum document.
6. Complete PM related parts of parameter checklist.
7. Review and sign off validation related documentation.

Technical Support

1. Lead problem solving and resolution efforts by assisting with issue identification, resolution, documentation, and escalation.
2. Manage SCR process for technical changes working with the client services project manager.
3. Develop study data reports for internal use.

Other Responsibilities

1. Handle translation coordination activities (text ID creations, translation packaging, and translation upload to the system) as required.
2. Partner with other project managers on a cross-functional basis to develop and implement business process improvement activities.
3. Provide input into the writing and review of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
4. Assist in the development of training materials and instructions for departmental use.
5. Organize and deliver training for project support staff and other members of IRT, as appropriate.
6. Develop and maintain good communication and working relationships with internal and external teams.
7. Perform other duties as required and directed by the IRT management team, including general project management work for new studies and studies in maintenance.
8. Ensure that all build project work is completed to the sponsor’s satisfaction, ensuring quality deliverables on time and within budget and in accordance with the IRT standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established timeline metrics.
