Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to join Optum in Hyderabad. You will drive product strategy, manage backlogs, and collaborate with tech teams and business users to deliver value in a healthcare technology environment.

You should have 3+ years as an Agile Product Owner, SAFe or Scrum experience, and knowledge of HL7/FHIR. Knowledge of Rally and Aha! tools is preferred; AI-enabled workflows and rapid adoption are key goals.

Responsibilities

• Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks.
• Identify critical product dependencies across clients and drive adoption to reduce time to market.
• Apply agile product management principles including value analysis, road mapping, backlog refinement, backlog prioritization and possibly serve as an agile team product owner.
• Collaborate with technology teams and business users to align technology with business goals.
• Write features and acceptance criteria and manage product backlogs with effective ceremonies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• This role plays a vital role in enabling Self Servicing by Business for Onboarding new clients and reduce the time to market by users, hence resulting in accelerating platform and product adoptions. Identifying critical product dependencies across client

• Apply agile product management principles doing customer value analysis, product road mapping, product backlog item refining, product backlog item prioritization, and may serve as an agile team product owner
• Work with technology teams and business users to understand how technology can be most effectively leveraged to advance business goals
• Work with tech teams, business users, and business partners to understand what is required to drive value
• Write features and acceptance criteria
• Manage product backlogs (refine product backlog items, prioritize product backlog items)
• Ensure agile and team ceremonies are effective (planning, daily SCRUM, retrospectives)
• Determine dependencies and negotiate solutions

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience
• 3 years of experience as an Agile Product Owner

• Healthcare technology experience

User Responsibilities:

Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation by streamlining workflows and automating repetitive tasks. Evaluate emerging trends to drive continuous improvement and strategic innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Product manager experience / product management methodology knowledge
• HL7 and / or FHIR experience
