Job summary

Bunge Iberica SA in Mohali, Punjab, seeks Associate Team Lead - Direct Tax & Transfer Pricing to oversee complex direct tax matters, transfer pricing analyses, and tax compliance across entities. You will act as a subject matter expert, support audits, and lead initiatives to improve processes, data accuracy, and governance.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in direct tax and TP in a multinational, strong knowledge of SAP (S/4HANA), advanced Excel, and excellent stakeholder management in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Taxation.
• Master's degree or recognized professional tax qualification strongly preferred.
• Professional Finance Certifications like CPA, CA, CFA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review complex direct tax activities, including tax provisions, ETR forecasting, CIT filings, withholding tax processes, and year-end true-ups.
• Provide technical guidance on direct tax and transfer pricing matters, including intercompany pricing and analyses.
• Act as liaison for tax authorities and external advisors during audits and complex filings.
• Oversee and challenge tax and transfer pricing reconciliations, identifying risks and improvements.
• Drive tax process initiatives, including standardization and knowledge development.

Role Purpose Statement The Senior Direct Tax & Transfer Pricing Specialist is responsible for overseeing complex direct tax and transfer pricing matters, providing technical judgement, and ensuring consistent, on time and high‑quality tax compliance across assigned regions or legal entities.
The role acts as a subject matter expert within the tax function, supporting tax governance, audit defense, and strategic initiatives, while driving process optimization, automation, and capability development within the tax operating model.

Main Accountabilities Main Accoutabilities :

• Lead and review complex direct tax activities, including tax provisions, ETR forecasting, CIT filings, withholding tax processes, and year‑end true‑ups.
• Provide technical guidance on direct tax and transfer pricing matters, including intercompany pricing, functional analyses, and interpretation of tax regulations.
• Act as a primary liaison for tax authorities and external advisors during audits, reviews, and complex filings.
• Oversee and challenge tax and transfer pricing reconciliations, identifying risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Drive tax process initiatives, including standardization and knowledge development within the tax team.

Knowledge and Skills

• Good understanding of Direct tax and Transfer Pricing regulations and compliances.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP (preferably S/4HANA) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proactive, curious, and eager to learn within the tax field.

1. Expertise in corporate income tax and tax provisions
2. Deep knowledge of OECD transfer pricing guidelines and TP documentation
3. Experience with intercompany pricing models and audit defense
4. Strong command of SAP and tax data environments
5. Exposure to tax automation initiatives

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Taxation.
• Master’s degree or recognized professional tax qualification strongly preferred.
• Professional Finance Certifications like CPA, CA, CFA strongly preffered
• 4+ years of progressive experience in direct tax and transfer pricing within a multinational organization.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex tax matters and senior stakeholder interactions.
