Job summary

Clarivate Plc, based in Chennai, seeks an Associate STEM Content Analyst for our Chemistry team to work on Derwent patents. The role emphasizes extracting novel information from patents using DWPI codes within editorial guidelines.

Ideal candidates hold an MSc in Chemistry, can be a fresh graduate or have 1–2 years’ experience, and bring solid chemistry knowledge and familiarity with drawing tools like ISIS Draw. Hours are full-time, typical 9 hours daily.

Qualifications

• Must have MSc in Chemistry or related field.
• Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of experience in related domain.
• Knowledge of chemistry nomenclature, reactions, formulae, inorganic chemistry, catalysts, additives and their functions.
• Knowledge of drawing packages like ISIS Draw.

Responsibilities

• Extract the novel information from patent and value-add by using DWPI codes in line with editorial policies and conventions.
• Achieve production volume and quality targets.
• Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process change.
• To take responsibility for identifying technology training and developmental needs for yourself on an on-going basis.

About You

• Must be a M.Sc Chemistry/General Chemistry/Organic Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry graduate.
• Can be a fresh grad or can have one – two years of experience in related domain.
• Comprehensive knowledge of chemistry, include chemical nomenclature, reactions, formulae, inorganic chemistry, Catalysts, additives and their functions.
• Knowledge in chemical drawing packages, e.g., ISIS Draw

• Knowledge & understanding about novelty of the invention in Patents

What will you be doing in this role?

Hours of Work

9 hours per day (Full-time) – including one hour break
