Job summary

Thomson Reuters India is seeking a mid‑level Solutions Architect to lead architecture strategy and governance across enterprise programmes in Bengaluru. You will collaborate with business owners, product teams, and remote teams to deliver scalable architectures aligned with our technology strategy.

The role requires hands‑on experience with CRM/ERP integrations, middleware, and security best practices, plus a background in development across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in solutions architecture across diverse business contexts.
• Consulting track record with a leading IT consultancy or large corporate.
• Experience with agile teams and globally distributed teams.
• Expertise in CRM/ERP integrations, middleware, and security best practices.
• Experience with Blue Chip clients.
• Development/systems background across full project lifecycle.
• Ability to craft solution architectures and data/process diagrams.
• Degree in technical/business discipline; TOGAF certification preferred.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a Technical Leader: Research and recommend technical standards and best practices. Work with technology teams and beyond to realise their implementation
• Be an efficient Stakeholder Manager: collaborate and engage with external and internal stakeholders such as business teams, product owners, project management in defining roadmap for products and processes. Act as point of contact in resolving stakeholder issues
• Be a Decision Maker: make quick and effective date driven decisions, with good problem solving and analytical skills to infer qualitative and quantitative data, and roll out strategy that aligns with company goals
• Be a Team Player – ability to work in a collaborative team‑oriented environment, share information, value diverse ideas, partner with cross functional and remote teams
• Be Curious & Innovative – continuously update yourself with next generation technology, development tools, and contribute to process development practices

Architecture Strategy & Roadmap – define and update solution roadmaps for the architectures in which you are involved

Architecture design for future and existing enterprise transformation programmes, ensure that technology components used fit with the overall technology strategy. Ensure also that the architecture is communicated, understood and adhered to

Architecture Governance – work as part of the Design Authority structure, work vendor partners and participate in the Solution Review board to ensure that solutions are governed appropriately

Required Qualifications:

• Have a wide variety of Solutions Architecture experience – across multiple business contexts
• Have consulting experience with a strong track record at a leading IT consultancy or large corporate
• Have experience working with agile teams and methodologies and globally distributed teams
• Have Solid experience techniques in the following areas: key features and capabilities provided by the market leading CRM and Self Service platforms, integration of CRM to Self Service platforms, integration of CRM to ERP, Middleware and Web Content Management Systems, and application security best practice
• Have a solid track record of experience within Blue Chip clients
• Ideally have a Development/Systems background with experience across the full project lifecycle
• Have experience in developing solution architectures, preparing and maintaining Business process, Data Model, system, sequence and process flow diagrams
• Required degree level (BA/BSc/MSc/BEng/MEng) in a Technical/Business discipline
• Preferred – certification in TOGAF or other architecture frameworkCreates and oversees the architectural design of small to medium sized projects consistent with long term IT strategy. Ensures the architecture is communicated, understood and adhered to by the project team
• Works on multiple projects and manages time effectively, proactively assessing risk and dependencies
• Partners with peer architects on large projects to provide ongoing architecture oversight throughout the development lifecycle, after the overall architecture has been developed and communicated
• Evaluates and recommends emerging trends in software design and development strategies and evaluate their use in the development environment
• Evaluates and makes recommendations for buy versus build decisions
• Ensures consistency with architectural standards for assigned projects
• Provides and/or collaborates on design recommendations, application development constructs and integration solutions
• Writes design specifications and other technical documentation
• Demonstrates design and technology approaches via prototypes
• Acts as an expert for a specific technology domain
• May have a small team of technical specialists to coach and/or manage
• Troubleshoots and resolves a variety of complex problems and technical issues taking a holistic and preventive perspective across systems and technologies
• Technical lead or part of technical team in project planning sessions with senior clients, business analysts, and team members to analyze development requirements and provides design recommendations for complex systems
• Supports and champions technical change initiatives
• Identifies technical risks and supports mitigation
• Communicates solutions, technical designs through formal and informal means to business unit executives, technology management, peers and development staff, and other colleagues
• Partners with project manager(s) to incorporate technical dimension to project status reports and communicates timely and accurate status information to project leaders
• Collaborates in setting development guidelines
• Reviews technical designs to ensure compliance to standards
