Job summary

AutomotiveMastermind Mobility is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join a fast-moving agile team focusing on AI-enabled analytics for U.S. automotive dealers.

You will design, develop, and deploy scalable software using Java and React, with cloud-native practices on AWS and modern CI/CD pipelines. The role emphasizes collaboration with architects, product owners, and QA to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–4 years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience with full-stack development (Java + React), including backend services, web technologies, and database integration.
• Experience working with Java-based web applications.
• AWS services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, estimate, develop, test, and implement software solutions as part of an agile development team.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Java.
• Build modern web interfaces using React.js, HTML, and related frontend technologies.
• Support full-stack application development, including integration with databases and APIs.
• Participate in cloud-native development activities using AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Assist with CI/CD adoption, build automation, and deployment process improvements.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads, architects, product owners, QA teams, and other stakeholders to refine user stories and deliver technical solutions.
• Analyze technical requirements and contribute to problem-solving approaches for assigned development tasks.
• Continuously expand technical knowledge and stay current with emerging software development, cloud, and DevOps trends.

The Impact:

As an Associate Software Engineer , you will work as part of an agile project team to design, develop, and implement software solutions, primarily within the automotive domain. You will collaborate with architects, cross-functional teams, product owners, and technical leads to deliver high-quality, scalable applications using modern full-stack technologies. This role requires strong Java development skills, web application experience, and exposure to cloud-native development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Skills and Technologies:

Core Development

• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience building and maintaining backend services and enterprise web applications.

Frontend Development

• Experience with modern web development technologies, including HTML, React.js and related frameworks or libraries.
• React.js and JavaScript knowledge is desirable.

Cloud and Infrastructure

• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments.
• Exposure to cloud-native development concepts and services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, EKS, containers, and related technologies.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerized application deployment, or Kubernetes-based environments is desirable.

Data and APIs

• Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to integrate applications with databases and develop data-driven solutions.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.

DevOps and Tools

• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps practices.
• Experience or exposure to tools such as Jenkins and Jira is preferred.

Required Education and Experience:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 to 4 years of professional experience developing large-scale software applications using Java.
• Experience with full-stack application development (Java and React), including backend services, web technologies, and database integration.
• Experience working with Java-based web applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and EKS is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
