Job summary

Blue Yonder is seeking a DevOps/SRE engineer to support the reliability and performance of cloud-based applications and services. You will work on CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, incident response, and routine operational tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.

Collaborate with development, QA, security, and platform teams to deliver stable releases, applying DevOps and SRE practices to reduce manual effort and strengthen operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Approximately one year of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, cloud operations, build and release engineering, or a related role.
• Basic experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of Git and common branching and pull-request workflows.
• Basic understanding of Linux or Windows administration and scripting with Shell, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, networking, and distributed systems.
• Ability to analyse logs, investigate alerts, and troubleshoot application or deployment issues.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident-management practices.
• Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership of assigned tasks, and participate in operational support.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application build, test, and deployment.
• Assist with automating deployments, environment configuration, and routine operational tasks.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using logs, metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
• Respond to incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and elevate complex issues appropriately.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and track corrective actions.
• Support containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Work with development and QA teams to improve release reliability and deployment quality.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard procedures.
• Learn and apply SRE practices, including service-level indicators, service-level objectives, error budgets, and automation.

Scope

Supports the reliability, availability, and performance of cloud-based applications and services. Investigates alerts and service issues, documents findings, and contributes to corrective and preventive actions. Applies DevOps and SRE practices to reduce manual effort, improve observability, and strengthen operational readiness.

Our Current Technical Environment

• Awareness of security practices for secrets, access control, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience working in an Agile delivery team.
