Job summary

GEA Group in Vadodara is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to translate customer processes into efficient, safe layouts and to plan work in line with the project schedule. You will review drawings and BOMs, release fabrication drawings, check compliance, and coordinate with engineering for approvals.

Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering; 4–8 years of design experience with SolidWorks, Keytech or AutoCAD; excellent English; experience with stainless steel sheet metal or machined parts

• Excellent written and oral English skills are a must.
• 4-8 years of design experience using SolidWorks, Keytech, or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Customer processes into efficient, safe, and feasible layouts.
• Planning the overall work in line with project schedule.
• Checking drawings and BOMs; releasing fabrication drawings and BOMs.
• Reviewing drawings with Engineering-Manager for approval.
• Incorporation of customer comments and interdisciplinary approvals.
• Checking material cutting layouts, especially sheet metal layouts.
• Other departmental and related activities as required.

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Customer processes into efficient, safe, and feasible layouts
• Obtaining Design inputs & evaluating sufficiency of the same.
• Planning the overall work in line with Project schedule.
• Checking of drawings & BOM’s.
• Review of drawings with Engineering-Manager for Approval.
• Release of Equipment Fabrication drawings & BOM’s for Fabrication.
• Incorporation of Customer’s comments.
• Obtaining interdisciplinary review/approval.
• Checking material cutting layouts (sheet metal layouts preferred)
• Other Departmental activities / Other activities as required

Your Profile / Qualifications

Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering.

Excellent written and oral English skills are a must.

4-8 years of design experience using one or more of the following software:

• SolidWorks
• Keytech (Preferred)
• Autodesk AutoCAD

Experience with design of stainless-steel components of sheet metal or machined parts for the Food processing and packaging, Dairy, Chemical and Pharma industry.
