Job summary

Huey Tech Pvt. Ltd. in India seeks a hands-on QA Automation Specialist to design, build and maintain automated test suites for our lending platform, collaborating with product, engineering and risk teams to ensure reliable releases.

You will cover web, mobile and API layers, regression suites for onboarding, underwriting, disbursal and collections, and integrate tests into CI/CD to improve speed, stability and test reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with modern automation stacks (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright/Appium).

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on QA Automation Specialist to design, build and maintain automated test suites that protect the quality of our lending platform. You will work closely with product, engineering and risk teams to ensure reliable releases of customer-facing flows, underwriting journeys, payment integrations and internal tools. Experience in fintech, NBFCs, banking or other regulated financial environments is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated test frameworks and suites for web, mobile and API layers.
• Build and maintain regression, smoke and end-to-end automation covering critical lending flows (onboarding, KYC, underwriting, disbursal, collections, repayments).
• Develop reliable API automation for internal and third-party integrations (bureau, Account Aggregator, payment gateways, KYC providers, etc.).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and improve test stability, speed and reporting.
• Identify test gaps, write clear test cases and contribute to test strategy for new features and risk-sensitive changes.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to catch defects early and improve release confidence.
• Support non-functional testing needs such as basic performance, security and data-integrity checks where relevant.
• Maintain test data strategies, environments and documentation so automation remains maintainable and reproducible.
• Analyse failures, debug flaky tests and continuously improve the automation suite.
• Participate in release readiness reviews and provide clear quality signals to stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with at least one modern automation stack (e.g. Selenium + Java/Python, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium).
• Solid experience writing and maintaining API tests (RestAssured, Postman/Newman, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation (Java, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar).
• Good understanding of testing fundamentals: functional, regression, integration, boundary and negative testing.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr or equivalent).
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications, APIs and data models.
• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in fintech, NBFC, banking, payments or other regulated financial domains.
• Familiarity with lending lifecycle concepts (KYC, underwriting, credit decisioning, disbursal, collections).
• Exposure to testing integrations with bureaus, Account Aggregators, payment systems or identity providers.
• Experience with mobile automation (Android/iOS) in addition to web.
• Basic understanding of performance testing tools (JMeter, k6 or similar) or security testing practices.
• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow) or contract testing.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS or similar) and containerised test execution.
• Experience contributing to or improving automation frameworks rather than only writing tests.
• Understanding of data privacy, compliance or audit requirements in financial services.
