About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate – Quantum Services to support our construction claims and dispute advisory practice. The role involves providing quantum analysis and commercial support on complex construction and infrastructure projects, including claims preparation, dispute resolution, and expert support engagements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and assessment of quantum claims relating to variations, prolongation, disruption, acceleration, and termination
• Analyse project cost records, payment applications, invoices, resource data, and financial statements
• Support the development of quantum sections of claims, rebuttals, and position papers
• Assist senior consultants and experts in preparing expert reports for arbitration, adjudication, mediation, and litigation
• Perform cause-and-effect cost analysis and support entitlement assessments under contract
• Work with project documentation, including contracts, correspondence, programmes, and contemporaneous records
• Prepare clear, well-structured analytical narratives, schedules, and summaries
• Support negotiations and dispute resolution processes as required

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Around 4 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, quantum, claims, billing, invoicing, commercial management, or dispute advisory services
• Sound understanding of construction contracts
• Experience in preparing or supporting claims and/or counterclaims
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex cost and project data
• Proficiency in Excel and cost analysis tools (experience with specialised claims software is an advantage)
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams

Desirable Skills

• Exposure to dispute resolution forums (arbitration, adjudication, mediation, or litigation)
• Experience supporting expert witnesses or legal teams
• Understanding of international construction projects and claims environments
