Job summary

NPCI is seeking an Associate Quality Assurance to join the NBBL Digital Technology division in Hyderabad/ Chennai. The role requires 2+ years of experience with BE/B.Tech or equivalent, and a strong background in automation testing, API testing, and microservices.

You will develop test plans, create test environments, execute tests, and provide defect reports. The role includes mentoring peers and applying QA practices across products and procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of programming languages: Java, Python, UNIX.
• Experience with automation testing and REST API testing.
• Exposure to QA tools like Selenium, JMeter and CI/CD (Jenkins, Git).
• Experience in microservice API testing and QA processes.
• Domain knowledge in payment or financial tech is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather Product requirements (e.g. functionalities, non-functional requirements)
• Ensure products and procedures meet industry standards
• Develop test environments and test cases for all positive, negative and edge case scenarios
• Review business / software requirements and provide input.
• Prepare / review test plans.
• Prepare test cases, test scripts and test data.
• Execute tests (manual / automated).
• Report defects and assist in their understanding.
• Preparing and presenting test reports
• Analyze test results track software testing metrics and root cause.
• Train, mentor and collaborate with junior software engineers and peers.
• Find the Root cause for issue and Prepare RCA for Production issue
• Log Monitoring and Analysis for issue prevention
• Experience in Testing Micro service API (Restful) components.

Skills and Experience Required

• Knowledge of at least one or more programming/ scripting language (Java, Micro Service, Unix and Python)
• Knowledge of at least one database management system (RDBMS / NoSQL)
• Knowledge and experience in Automation testing using Selenium, API Automation and Open-Source tools like JMeter, TestNG, Rest Assured, Cucumber BDD, Jenkins, GIT.
• Experience in customizing existing Automation framework.
• Previous experience as a Test Engineer / Sr Test Engineer or similar role
• Familiarity with various testing techniques (Functional, E2E, Integration, UAT, etch)
• Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• Great troubleshooting skills and Analytical mind-set.
• Good written and oral communication
• Minimum 2/3+ Years of Experience.

• Ticketing tool experience like JIRA / Service Now / Service Desk
