Standard Chartered India is seeking a Senior Test Engineer with 5-8 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering, focusing on Temenos T24 applications. Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in Software Testing/Quality Engineering.
• Experience testing Temenos T24 applications (T24 product).
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements; design test strategies and plans.
• Execute Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and End-to-End testing.
• Identify, log, track and retest defects; perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts; support CI/CD and continuous testing.
• Validate APIs (Postman/REST Assured) and backend data with SQL.
• Collaborate with BAs, Devs, Product Owners, and DevOps for quality across SDLC.
• Prepare test execution reports and quality dashboards; provide release sign-off.

Responsible for ensuring application quality through comprehensive test planning, execution, automation, defect management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Engineering

Test Planning & Design

• Analyze business and functional requirements.
• Create Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, Test Cases, and Test Data.
• Ensure complete test coverage for functional and non-functional requirements.

Test Execution

• Perform Functional, Integration, System, Regression, End-to-End testing.
• Validate application behaviour against business requirements.
• Execute test cycles and provide status updates to stakeholders.

Defect Management

• Identify, log, track, and retest defects.
• Perform root cause analysis and work closely with development teams for resolution.
• Participate in defect triage and quality review sessions.

Automation Testing

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and scripts.
• Automate regression and smoke test suites.
• Support CI/CD integration and continuous testing initiatives.

API & Database Testing

• Validate APIs using tools such as Postman/REST Assured.
• Perform backend database validation using SQL queries.
• Ensure data integrity across systems.

Agile Delivery

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and DevOps teams.
• Contribute to quality improvements across the SDLC.

Reporting & Metrics

• Prepare test execution reports and quality dashboards.
• Track testing progress, defect leakage, and coverage metrics.
• Provide quality sign-off recommendations for releases.
