Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a technical marketing engineer for Mission Critical telecommunication Solutions (MCS) to guide regional Pre-Sales and Sales teams on technical market needs for wired telecom networks, aligning with global solution and product strategy.

You will support global projects, set up lab environments for HVDC Base projects, develop control and protection functions, and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize HVDC solutions.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree with 1-5 years’ experience or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, High Voltage.
• Knowledge of Power System fundamentals, Substation Control & Protection.
• HVDC System Knowledge, Control & Protection and basic knowledge of IEEE / IEC standards.
• MS Office: Word, Excel.
• Experience with HVDC systems; DSP, analog and digital circuits preferred.
• Experience in tender support or bidding and protection applications in substations.
• Self-starter who can own tasks through to completion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Design, maintain, test, integrate, verify, and deploy software functions for safe operations of plants and transmission links.
• Travel internationally for commissioning and customer meetings.

The opportunity:

The technical marketing engineer for Mission Critical telecommunication Solutions (MCS) has the global responsibility to enable the Pre-Sales & Sales community of the different regional HUBs to understand technical market requirements for wired telecommunication networks and ensure customer interaction in line with global solution/product strategy. Support sales organizations in driving sales by your technical expertise. Provide relevant customer & market inputs to product management and R&D activities, ensuring market alignment and relevance.

How you'll make an impact:

• To be part of all phases of delivery, which includes design, maintenance, testing, integration, verification, and deployment of the software functions needed for safe and reliable operations of plants and transmission links, with the opportunity to also travel internationally for short assignments to our sites for Commissioning and costumer meetings Support Global Projects by adapting HVDC Base Control & Protection Software (MACH).

• Set up and maintain control and protection lab environment for HVDC Base projects.

• Develop Control and Protection Functions / Solutions for future HVDC technologies.

• Support projects in resolving the issues related to Control and Protection Functions.

• Coordinate with different stakeholders across the business units to get inputs to optimize the HVDC solutions.

• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• You hold a Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s degree with 1-5 years’ experience or Master’s degree as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, High Voltage.

• You must have knowledge & skills in Power System fundamentals, Substation Control & Protection.

• HVDC System Knowledge, Control & Protection and basic knowledge on IEEE / IEC standards is a must.

• Knowledge & Experience MS Office: Word, Excel.

• Experience from HVDC System is preferred. Digital signal processing, analog circuits and digital circuits are preferred.

• Experience in technical tender support or bidding, experience in substation environment and protection application.

• Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
