Qualifications

• Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Prince2 Foundation, or ongoing certification are valued.
• Proven track record in program management, preferably in Financial Services or FinTech.
• Strong communication, leadership and ability to coordinate multiple tasks across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end delivery of product/infra programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and objectives.
• Facilitate collaboration with Baton’s client base across time zones; liaise between Chennai delivery teams and global clients (US/EMEA).
• Collaborate with the Senior Program Manager and cross-functional teams to define scope, deliverables, resources, and work plans.
• Identify and mitigate risks, delays, or dependencies to ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee data collection and analysis of program performance and produce reports for leadership.
• Maintain rigorous program documentation and standards.

Job Title: Associate Program Manager

As an Associate Program Manager, you will support the Senior Program Manager in bridging high-level strategy with execution. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and deploying complex capabilities to our clients and the market. You will ensure our product initiatives deliver on organizational Objectives & Key Results (OKRs).

Education

Postgraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field preferred.

Key Accountabilities

• Program Leadership & Execution: Support the end-to-end delivery of product/infra programs, ensuring they align with the company’s vision and strategic objectives.
• Global Client Interaction: Facilitate seamless collaboration with Baton’s client base across time zones, supporting the SPM as a key liaison between Chennai-based delivery teams and global clients based in the United States and Europe.
• Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the Senior Program Manager and cross-functional teams to define scope, deliverables, required resources, and work plans.
  • Create a comprehensive project plan to collaborate and plan the deliverables for customers to meet their timelines.
• Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, delays, or dependencies across multiple / within projects to ensure timely delivery.
• Data-Driven Performance: Oversee the collection and analysis of program data to evaluate performance, identifying areas for improvement and producing reports for leadership.
• Documentation & Standards: Maintain rigorous organizational standards for program documentation, ensuring all project-related files are organized and accessible to minimize dependencies.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MBA, or a related field.
• Certifications: PMP, CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), Prince2 Foundation, or an ongoing certification.
• Experience: Proven track record in program management, preferably within Financial Services or FinTech. A functional understanding of settlements and post-trade workflows in capital markets is a positive for this role.
• Leadership: Experience in coordinating tasks within teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira or MS Project, and proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis.
• International Communication Literacy: Proven ability to navigate Western corporate environments, with the soft skills necessary to lead client meetings and manage expectations for stakeholders in the US and EMEA regions.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
