About RIPANS

Located at Zemabawk, Aizawl, the Regional Institute of Paramedical & Nursing Sciences (RIPANS) is set in a picturesque environment, offering a serene atmosphere conducive to learning. Position: Associate Professor (Pharmacy)

Mode of Recruitment: Deputation (including short-term contract)/Promotion
Number of Vacancies: 2
Pay Scale: Pay Level 12 as per 7th CPC
Age Limit: Not exceeding 56 years

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmacy along with M.Pharm in an appropriate specialization from a recognized institution.
• A B.Pharm degree from a recognized institution.
• Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (including amendments).
• Minimum 6 years of teaching/research experience at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade in a recognized institution.

OR

• Ph.D. with Pharm.D with a minimum 6 years of experience in teaching/research at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade.
• Registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 (including amendments).

Desirable Qualifications

• 6 years of teaching/industrial research experience in a recognized organization.
• Published work in research papers, patents, books, or technical reports.
• Experience in guiding postgraduate students, research projects, or supervising R&D initiatives.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on Deputation (including short-term contract)/Promotion, as per RIPANS recruitment rules. Officers holding analogous posts on a regular basis or with 5 years of regular service in Pay Level-11 under Central/State Government with the required qualifications and experience can apply.

Terms & Conditions for Deputation

1. Governed by DoPT O.M. No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay II) dated 17.06.2010 and its amendments.
2. The pay level should be from an appointment/promotion basis and not due to MACP/DACP financial upgradation.
3. Officers in the feeder category at RIPANS shall not be eligible for deputation.
4. Initial deputation tenure is 3 years, extendable as per Government of India rules.
5. Private sector applicants are not eligible for deputation.
