Job description

The Associate Professor will contribute to academic excellence through teaching, research, and institutional development in the domain of Computer Applications. The role involves delivering high‑quality education, guiding student research, publishing in reputed journals, and supporting curriculum innovation aligned with emerging technologies.

1. Teaching Academic Delivery

• Teach undergraduate (BCA) and postgraduate (MCA) courses
• Deliver subjects such as:
  • Data Structures Algorithms
  • Database Management Systems (DBMS)
  • Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning
  • Cloud Computing / Cyber Security / Full Stack Development
• Develop outcome‑based curriculum aligned with NEP 2020
• Use modern pedagogy (case‑based learning, coding labs, project‑based learning)
• Guide student projects, internships, and capstone work

2. Research Publications

• Publish research papers in SCI / Scopus indexed journals
• Apply for funded research projects and consultancy assignments
• Guide PhD scholars and postgraduate dissertations
• Build strong research profile (citations, h‑index, patents if any)

3. Industry Collaboration Skill Development

• Establish tie‑ups with IT companies and startups
• Promote certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Organize hackathons, coding competitions, and workshops
• Align curriculum with industry trends (AI, Data Science, IoT, Blockchain)

4. Academic Administration

• Participate in NAAC, NBA, and NIRF processes
• Contribute to curriculum design, BOS meetings, and academic audits
• Support admissions, mentoring, and student development activities

5. Faculty Mentoring Leadership

• Mentor Assistant Professors
• Contribute to departmental growth and academic planning
• Assist in policy formulation and quality improvement initiatives

• Ph.D. in Computer Science / Computer Applications / IT or relevant field
• Master s Degree (MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc. Computer Science)
• Minimum 8-10 years of teaching/research/industry experience
• At least 2-3 years as Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) or equivalent
• Minimum 7-10 publications in SCI/Scopus indexed journals
• Experience in guiding PG/PhD students preferred
• Patents / funded projects will be an added advantage
