Job summary

LPL Financial Global Capability Center in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Middleware/ MFT Engineer to manage enterprise secure file transfer infrastructure and ensure compliant exchanges with external partners.

You will configure partner profiles, monitor jobs, and implement security policies, while collaborating with IT and business teams on onboarding new use cases and maintaining runbooks.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years middleware/infrastructure with 3+ years MFT experience.
• Hands-on with Tumbleweed or Axway Secure Transport for B2B file transfers.
• Knowledge of SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, and EDI protocols.
• Experience with PGP key management and certificate lifecycle management.
• Unix/Linux administration and scripting (Shell, Python).
• Understanding of SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA compliance.
• Experience with cloud-based MFT solutions is a nice-to-have.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Tumbleweed (Axway) MFT platform for secure file transfers.
• Configure trading partner profiles and file transfer agreements and protocol settings (SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS).
• Monitor file transfer jobs, manage failures, and ensure SLA compliance for critical file exchanges.
• Implement security policies including PGP encryption, certificate management, and access controls.
• Troubleshoot file transfer errors, connectivity issues, and partner-facing integration problems.
• Perform Tumbleweed platform upgrades, patch deployments, and environment health checks.
• Collaborate with business and IT teams to onboard new file transfer use cases and partners.
• Maintain audit trails, compliance documentation, and file transfer operational runbooks.

Job Overview

The Associate Professional Middleware Engineer specializing in Tumbleweed manages enterprise secure file transfer and managed file transfer (MFT) infrastructure. This role ensures reliable, secure, and compliant file exchange between internal systems and external partners.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of middleware/infrastructure experience with 3+ years in MFT/secure file transfer platforms
• Hands-on experience with Tumbleweed or Axway Secure Transport/Gateway for B2B file transfers
• Knowledge of secure file transfer protocols: SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, and EDI
• Experience with PGP key management and certificate lifecycle management
• Unix/Linux administration and scripting skills (Shell, Python)
• Understanding of EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and B2B integration concepts
• Knowledge of compliance requirements for file transfer (SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA)

GOOD TO HAVE

• Experience with Axway API Gateway or IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
• Knowledge of cloud-based MFT solutions (Axway Secure transport)
• Exposure to automation of file transfer workflows using scripting or RPA Preferences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Relevant MFT or file transfer security certifications are advantageous
