Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a Production Associate to support plant manufacturing operations, performing standard production, packaging, and quality tasks with focus on safety and food quality. You will operate equipment, stage materials, run quality checks, and ensure accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, adherence to GMP/HACCP, and participation in training and continuous improvement activities to optimize production flow.

Qualifications

• B. Tech Dairy Technology/ Food Technology/ Dairy Science/ Food Science with 1–5 years in production or plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of line operations and distribution workflows.
• Experience supporting shipping, scheduling, or inventory activities.
• Ability to lead work activities without formal people-management responsibility.
• Strong problem-solving and safety/quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production or packaging equipment per SOPs and safety rules.
• Load, unload, and stage materials to maintain continuous flow.
• Perform in-process quality checks and escalate defects.
• Package finished product with accurate labeling and presentation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and GMP standards.
• Assist with equipment setup, changeovers, and minor adjustments.
• Communicate issues to operators, leads, or supervisors.
• Complete production documentation accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, safety meetings, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other production or support tasks as needed.

This role contributes to safe, efficient production flow while ensuring products meet food safety, quality, and customer requirements.

What you’ll do

• Operate and monitor assigned production or packaging equipment according to standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
• Load, unload, and stage materials and product to maintain continuous production flow.
• Perform in‑process quality checks and inspections, identifying and escalating defects or deviations.
• Package finished product accurately, ensuring correct labeling, sealing, and product presentation.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, housekeeping, and hygiene standards, including GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Assist with routine equipment setup, changeovers, and minor adjustments within scope of training.
• Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or safety observations to operators, leads, or supervisors.
• Complete required production documentation and records accurately and on time.
• Participate in training, safety meetings, and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other production or support tasks as assigned to meet plant needs.

What you will need to succeed

• B. Tech Dairy Technology/ Food Technology/ Dairy Science/ Food Science 1to 5 years of experience in production, distribution, or plant operations
• Strong working knowledge of line operations, distribution processes, and system‑based workflows
• Experience supporting or coordinating shipping, scheduling, or inventory activities
• Ability to lead work activities and priorities without formal people‑management responsibility
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to maintain focus on both daily execution and broader operational needs
• Effective communication skills to coordinate across teams and functions
• High attention to detail and commitment to safety, food safety, and quality standards
