Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in India is seeking a skilled Procurement professional to process requisitions, support purchasing and strategic sourcing, and drive cost governance across global teams.

You will collaborate with Category Buyers, supplier development engineers and Engineering stakeholders to enable value delivery. You will analyze data, manage large datasets, and use digital tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Python to improve efficiency and business outcomes.

Role Definition:

Processes requisitions and provides support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Cost Vertical Coordinator for the Electrical & Electronics (E&E) Segment, aligning and driving robust cost governance across global teams, including Category Buyers, Supplier Development Engineers and Engineering stakeholders to deliver segment-wide value.
• Developing improvement plans to support buyers & professionals related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations.
• Performing analysis and maintenance of assigned processes that produce output excellence, builds expertise for the assign process area, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
• Supporting customers and customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection.
• Performing analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives.
• Perform complex data analysis and manage large datasets to support strategic sourcing decisions, while coordinating global sourcing projects through the effective use of digital and automation tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Python, and AI-enabled technologies to improve efficiency and business outcomes.
