Job summary

Tekskills Inc. is seeking an Associate Principal Engineer (Motor Control) for a permanent role in Bangalore. The candidate should have 6–12 years of embedded motor control experience, with hands-on firmware development for BLDC/PMSM/Induction motors and strong knowledge of FOC and 6-step methods.

The role involves working with ARM Cortex-M/A MCUs, RTOS, and power electronics hardware debugging, delivering robust motor controller solutions for sophisticated drive systems.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of embedded motor control experience.
• Hands-on firmware development for BLDC/PMSM/Induction motors.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A MCUs and RTOS.
• Exposure to power electronics hardware debugging.
• Knowledge of FOC and 6-step control methods.
• Firmware development for motor controllers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop motor control firmware for embedded systems.
• Tune control algorithms for BLDC/PMSM/Induction motors.
• Troubleshoot with oscilloscope and current probes during validation.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on integration.

ASSOCIATE PRINCIPAL ENGINEER (Motor Control)

Exp Level : 6 to 12 years

• Embedded C and RTOS
• Experience in motor control parameter tuning and Algorithms for same.
• Hands on experience working on ARM Cortex-M/A based microcontrollers
• Experience in Motor Controller Firmware development (BLDC/PMSM/Induction Motors/Inverters).
• Exposure to Power Electronics hardware development and debugging using Oscilloscope/Current probes.
• Knowledge of FOC, 6-step commutation control methods .
• Stepper motor control
• Experience in Matlab/Simulink modelling for power electronics-based applications.
• Experience in LV, HV applications in home appliances, automotive etc.
