Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Onboard new PSP and SP data sources by gathering and documenting requirements.
  • Set up, validate, and process incoming patient data feeds under supervision.
  • Perform routine data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation for accuracy.
  • Identify data anomalies or process issues and escalate to seniors.
  • Track data delivery timelines with vendors and internal teams; maintain issue logs.
  • Maintain documentation for data processes, checks, and issue management.

About the Role

As anAssociate, Patient Data Management, you will be part of Amgen’s globalPatient Data Managementteam, supporting the collection, processing, and management of patient‑level data that enables insights into the patient journey.

You will assist in maintaining the accuracy, quality, and compliance of Amgen’s patient data assets, such as data from Patient Support Programs (PSPs) and Specialty Pharmacies (SPs), and help ensure smooth data operations that power analytics and reporting across Amgen’s commercial and patient access functions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Patient Data Operations
    • Assist in gathering and documenting requirements for onboarding new PSP and SP data sources
    • Support the setup, validation, and processing of incoming patient data feeds under supervision
    • Perform routine data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation to ensure completeness and accuracy of data
    • Help identify and escalates data anomalies or process issues to senior team members for resolution
    • Work with vendors and internal teams to track data delivery timelines and maintain issue logs
    • Maintain documentation for data processes, checks, and issue management
  2. Ensure Compliance and Data Governance
    • Follow Amgen’s privacy, security, and compliance guidelines for handling patient‑level data
    • Support data access and approval workflows by maintaining logs and ensuring accurate recordkeeping
    • Assist in implementing data governance processes to ensure traceability and secure access to sensitive datasets
    • Contribute to internal reviews or audits by providing required data documentation
  3. Cross‑Functional Collaboration and Learning
    • Collaborate with Patient Data Management, Technology, and Patient Access teams to support ongoing data operations
    • Participate in knowledge‑sharing sessions and training on Amgen’s data systems and governance practices
    • Contribute to process improvement by sharing observations and suggesting small enhancements to workflow efficiency
    • Learn and apply foundational data management concepts, tools, and technologies to grow into a more independent contributor
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degreeand1–2 yearsof relevant pharmaceutical or data management experience
  • Basic understanding of data processes, life sciences data, or commercial operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with eagerness to learn and grow in a global, cross‑functional environment
Functional Skills

  • Exposure topharmaceutical datasuch as Patient Support Programs, Specialty Pharmacy, or commercial datasets
  • Foundational knowledge ofdata management concepts(data validation, governance, lineage)
  • Basic familiarity withSQL,Python, or data analysis tools
  • Understanding of or exposure tocloud‑based data platforms(e.g., AWS, Databricks)
