Job summary

Techolution LLC is seeking an Associate MERN Stack Engineer to build scalable web apps using React, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, code quality, and modern frontend/backend practices.

You will work remotely with a shift timing of 2-11PM IST, contributing to architecture decisions, API integration, and reusable UI components while advancing your skills in a fast-paced automation-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive layouts, and modern UI principles.
• Proficient with React fundamentals including components, props, state, hooks, and lifecycle.
• Solid grasp of system design, API integration, and scalable architectures.
• Good Git/GitHub workflows including PRs and version control.
• Knowledge of microfrontend concepts and modular frontend integration.
• Familiarity with Node.js and Express.js for backend services.
• Experience with MongoDB data modeling and CRUD operations.
• Familiar with package managers and build tools such as NPM and Rollup.
• Understanding of GraphQL basics, queries, and API consumption.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• Effective communication and willingness to learn new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build reusable, scalable, and maintainable UI components following modern frontend development practices.
• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Work with MongoDB to design, query, and manage application data.
• Understand application architecture and contribute to system design decisions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, third-party services, and external systems.
• Contribute to microfrontend architectures and modular application development where applicable.
• Use Git and GitHub for version control, collaboration, and code management.
• Work with package managers and build tools such as NPM and Rollup to manage dependencies and optimize application builds.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting to maintain code quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to engineering improvements and best practices.

Non-Negotiable Skills:

• HTML & CSS: Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, layouts, and modern UI development principles.
• React.js: Good understanding of React fundamentals, including components, props, state management, hooks, and component lifecycle.
• System Design: Strong conceptual understanding of application architecture, component design, API integration, scalability, and maintainability.
• Git & GitHub: Good understanding of version control, repositories, branching, commits, pull requests, and collaborative development workflows.
• Microfrontend Architecture: Understanding of microfrontend concepts, modular application architecture, and how independently developed frontend modules integrate.
• Node.js & Express.js: Good understanding of Node.js fundamentals, Express.js, backend development concepts, middleware, and REST API creation.
• MongoDB: Understanding of NoSQL databases, collections, documents, basic CRUD operations, and data modeling.
• Libraries & Build Tools (NPM, Rollup): Familiarity with package management, dependency handling, module bundling, and build-tool fundamentals.
• GraphQL: Understanding of GraphQL fundamentals, including queries, mutations, schemas, and how frontend applications consume GraphQL APIs.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to understand, debug, and solve technical problems.
• Ownership & Accountability: Willingness to take responsibility for assigned tasks and deliver quality work within timelines.
