Job summary

WSP India is seeking a senior Mechanical engineer with deep expertise in building services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection) to lead major project delivery. You will drive strategic technical direction, mentor teams, and ensure compliance with global and local codes across diverse building projects.

The role requires 15+ years in building services, with 5+ years in leadership, and a Chartered status with the UK Engineering Council is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in building services, with at least 5 years in leading major project delivery.
• Chartered Engineering Status with the UK Engineering Council is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of BS, HTM, NBC, NFPA and other local codes; familiarity with UK codes is advantageous.

Risk Management

Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Strong expertise in building services engineering (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
• Proven project team and Project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of sustainability standards and best practices.
• Proficiency in Mechanical design softwares (HAP, Hevacomp), IES and project management tools. Must be fully conversant with technical software, IES-Part L, H&C Load, TM52,59,54, SAP, Whole Life Carbon
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• The applicant should have adequate knowledge on various types of building projects.

Desired Skills

• Excellent working knowledge of BS, HTM, NBC, NFPA and other local codes and good working knowledge of UK codes would be advantageous.
