Light & Wonder, a global leader in iGaming, is seeking an Associate Manager, Software Engineering - Front-End to lead a team in Pune. You will build UI for our next generation casino platform, mentor 6-8 developers, and drive end-to-end delivery while maintaining strong customer and partner relationships.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years in frontend with JavaScript/TypeScript, design patterns, and agile practices, and can guide technical direction in a fast-paced gaming environment.

Qualifications

Associate Manager, Software Engineering - Front-End

Job Location: Commerzone IT Tech Park, Yerwada - Pune.

LnW are looking for an experienced Development Lead from a JavaScript oriented development background to join our team of skilled engineers. In this role you will be given responsibility for creating scalable product solutions that run on our leading-edge online casino platform. This will ensure you take our products and your career to the next level.

The Development Lead position at LnW consists of a balance of four main areas of responsibility:

• Technical leadership: Understand the platform and technologies used and guide future direction
• Team leadership: Coaching, support and development of the team
• Customer liaison: A trusted point of contact between LnW professional service teams, our customers and partners.
• Incidents: Management of, and escalation path for live production incidents.

Key Tasks

• Build UI for games on our next generation casino platform
• Manage a team of approximately 6-8 developers
• Manage and contribute to technical end-to-end delivery of games
• Become a primary point of contact for and maintain strong relationships with both external and internal customers
• Lead design and code reviews, set coding standards and ensure they are met by deliverables
• Ensure engineering best practice principles are applied at all times
• Design solutions that are compatible with the strategic direction of the company
• Support the recruitment process of technical resources

Responsible for

Ownership for management of a squad and software quality and delivery assigned to it. Mentoring team members and building a healthy productive culture.

Liaison with

The role will interact directly with the Studio Managers, QA Managers, Project Managers, Game Producers and other team members

Qualifications

• KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
• 3+ years people management skills including experience managing development teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Experience interacting with customers, external partners and business stakeholders
• Demonstrable talent coding in JavaScript / TypeScript and their application with design patterns
• Experience with JavaScript libraries or similar framework
• Disciplined approach to testing
• Good knowledge of large-scale website or application architectures and technology stacks
• Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns
• Experience with various development methodologies; Agile, TDD or Kanban
• Experience in deploying and configuring Web Applications.
• Experience reviewing others work for performance, security, efficiency and portability
• Ability to multi-task and rapidly switch contexts
• Ideally 5+ years of experience building web applications
