Qualifications

• URS specification must be clear and correctly spelt out.
• Capex proposals prepared and submitted for approvals.
• Maintain documents including equipment lists, process calculations, material and energy balances.
• Interface with clients and vendors to define scope and assist procurement documents.

Responsibilities

• Drive plant projects from concept to commissioning.
• Research new technology and suggest engineering proposals to decision-makers.
• Develop BFD, PFD, and P&ID diagrams.
• Ensure URS are properly spelt out.
• Prepare capex proposals and submit for approvals.
• Maintain documents such as equipment lists, process calculations, material and energy balances.
• Interface with clients and vendors to define scope and resolve technical issues.
• Analyze current production procedures to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Achieve Operational Excellence via plant design, workflow planning, space and equipment layout.
• Ensure ISO 9001-2008, HACCP, FAMI-QS compliance and other standards.
• Manage departmental budget and expenses.

• Responsible for researching new technology and suggesting engineering project proposals to the decision-makers.
• Develop of Block Flow Diagrams (BFD), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
• Ensure User Requirement Specifications (URS) are properly spelt out.
• Prepare capex proposals and submit for approvals.
• Maintain all the necessary documents such equipment lists, Process engineering calculations, material, and energy balances
• Interface with client and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and assist with preparation of procurement documents.
• Analyze current production procedures and standards to identify inefficiencies and propose the work methodology for process and plant engineering improvements.
• Achieve Operational Excellence via efficient plant design, planning of workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout and ensure continuous improvement .
• Ensure that requirements of ISO 9001 - 2008, HACCP, FAMI-QS and other internal and international standards are implemented and maintained.
• Manage the departmental budget and controlling expenses effectively.
• Effectively hire, train, develop, and appraise staff and take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
• Develop and present management reports and presentations as required by the management.
