Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute statutory audit assignments across sectors.

Role Summary

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong experience in Statutory Audits and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). The candidate will independently handle statutory audit assignments, financial reporting engagements, Ind AS implementation/conversion projects, and interact with senior management, CFOs, Audit Committees, and statutory auditors.

Key Responsibilities

Statutory Audit

• Lead and execute statutory audit assignments for companies across various sectors.
• Review financial statements and disclosures in accordance with Companies Act, 2013 and applicable accounting standards.
• Perform audit planning, risk assessment, testing of internal controls and substantive audit procedures.
• Review audit documentation prepared by team members.
• Identify accounting and reporting issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with client management for timely completion of audits.
• Prepare management letters and discuss audit observations with clients.

Ind AS / Financial Reporting

• Execute Ind AS implementation and conversion assignments.
• Prepare or review Ind AS compliant financial statements.
• Prepare Ind AS transition workings and first-time adoption adjustments.
• Prepare accounting position papers and technical accounting memos.
• Assist clients in implementation of new accounting standards.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements under Ind AS.
• Resolve complex accounting issues involving revenue recognition, financial instruments, leases, business combinations, deferred taxes, impairment, employee benefits, etc.

Advisory

• Assist clients in financial reporting under Companies Act and SEBI requirements.
• Support IPO, due diligence, restructuring and financial reporting assignments.
• Research and interpret accounting standards and regulatory developments.
