Lawlit in New Delhi is seeking an Associate – Litigation to join the chambers of Adv. Akhil Hasija. The role focuses on high-value commercial, regulatory, and electricity-law disputes, with exposure to premier forums.

You will draft pleadings, perform legal research, assist senior advocates, manage filings, and coordinate court appearances. 1–3 years of active litigation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive legal research, synthesize case laws, and prepare comprehensive legal notes and opinions.
• Draft high-quality legal pleadings, including petitions, appeals, applications, written submissions, and rejoinders.
• Assist senior advocates in client conferences, strategy sessions, and court hearings.
• Manage end-to-end court filings, liaise with registry officials, and maintain seamless case management systems.
• Handle regular follow-ups, court appearances, and formal correspondence on ongoing client matters.

About the Practice & Exposure

This role offers rich, hands-on exposure to high-value commercial, regulatory, and specialized electricity-law disputes. As part of this dynamic team, you will regularly assist and work on matters appearing before premier judicial and quasi-judicial forums, including:

• Hon'ble Supreme Court of India

• High Courts (including Delhi High Court)

• Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL)

• Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC)

• Various other regulatory bodies, tribunals, and trial courts

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive legal research, synthesize case laws, and prepare comprehensive legal notes and opinions.

• Draft high-quality legal pleadings, including petitions, appeals, applications, written submissions, and rejoinders.

• Assist senior advocates in client conferences, strategy sessions, and court hearings.
