Job summary

Prudential Hong Kong Limited is seeking an experienced IT professional to enhance and maintain the Core admin system. The role involves collaborating with application teams to ensure a robust lifecycle, aligning the Applications Management function with strategy, and documenting scope changes during projects.

You will analyze problems, prepare technical specifications, and conduct testing while ensuring governance and code quality. Strong Life/Asia insurance domain experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Higher Degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in AS/400, SMART/400 based insurance applications specialized in Life/400, Life/Asia application.
• Experience in working with LifeAsia SOAP API’s.
• Provide a good quality level of SMART/400 based insurance applications.

Responsibilities

• Enhancement and maintenance of Prudential’s Core admin system.
• Work closely with other front-end system application team to ensure end-to-end software lifecycle is robust.
• Ensuring the Applications Management function is aligned with company strategy.

• Work closely with Business Analyst to deliver a robust and error-free application systems
• Ensure that all development and implementation are compliant with IT governance policy
• Technical review and quality analysis of the code done by junior members to ensure learning and motivation for subordinates

Experience / Skill

• Bachelor or Higher Degree in Computer Science and engineering.
• 5+ years' experience in AS/400, SMART/400 based insurance applications specialized in Life/400, Life/Asia application.
• Experience in working with LifeAsia SOAP API’s
• Provide a good quality level of SMART/400 based insurance applications.
• Develops, customizes, enhances, maintains and supports Life/400, Life/Asia, Integral Life Insurance software application system

Desirable

• Strong analytical skills
• Strong co-ordination skills required to liaise with counterparts within the Company.
• Experience in conceptual and functional business process modeling.
• Knowledge of insurance industry is a plus
• Relationship management skills
• Being able to communicate in fluent English
