Job summary

Adani Data Centre is seeking an Associate Lead - EHS to implement and manage Environmental, Health, and Safety policies across Data Centre projects. You will drive audits, risk assessments, training, and incident investigations to ensure a safe, compliant work environment.

Lead cross-functional teams, monitor EHS performance metrics, and develop emergency plans while aligning with local regulations. A BE/BTech in safety and 6–10 years of relevant experience in data centres or industrial settings

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Fire & Safety or Industrial Safety.
• Civil/Electrical/Mechanical with Industrial Safety diploma is acceptable.
• Masters in Industrial Safety is preferred.
• 6–10 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably in data centres or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of EHS policies and programs across Data Centre projects.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide EHS guidance to project teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs and emergency plans.
• Monitor EHS metrics and drive continuous safety improvements.

Job Purpose

Associate Lead - EHS will be responsible for implementation, and management of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs across all Data Centre projects. This role involves ensuring a safe and compliant work environment through regular audits, risk assessments, and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of EHS policies, procedures, and programs across Data Centre projects to ensure comprehensive safety and environmental compliance.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure adherence to safety standards, and assess compliance with EHS regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate EHS risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to address identified hazards.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues, providing detailed analysis and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide expert EHS guidance and support to project teams, contractors, and vendors, ensuring alignment with established safety practices and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national environmental regulations and standards, keeping abreast of any changes or updates to relevant legislation.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to enhance awareness, foster a culture of safety, and ensure all employees and contractors are informed of safety protocols and best practices.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, including conducting drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
• Monitor and analyse EHS performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Champion a digital mindset within the organization to drive innovation and competitiveness. Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Educational Qualification: BE/BTech (Fire & safety / Industrial safety)
• BE/BTech (Civil / Electrical / Mechanical) with degree or recognized diploma in industrial safety (e.g., Post Diploma in Industrial Safety or Fire & Safety)
• Master's in industrial safety from recognized institute

Work Experience: 6 - 10 years of experience in EHS roles, with a strong background in data centre or industrial environments.
