Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. in India is seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer (P1) to join the Central Industrial Engineering team.

This early-career role will support capacity modeling, data analytics, reporting automation, cycle time reduction, and scheduling optimization across wafer fabrication sites. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop cross-site analytical tools that maximize factory output and support future expansion planning, while building expertise in semiconductor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IE/OR/SE/Data Analytics or related engineering discipline.
  • 0–2 years of Industrial Engineering or analytical experience.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing quantitative analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cross-site capacity models, factory loadings, and utilization analyses.
  • Assist with cycle time improvement through bottleneck analysis, WIP management, and line balancing.
  • Analyze factory performance data to identify opportunities to increase throughput and equipment utilization.
  • Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and analytical tools using SQL, Python, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Support validation of manufacturing scheduling data, forecasting models, and factory planning assumptions.
  • Participate in scenario analysis and what-if modeling for capacity, output, and resources.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and Equipment Engineering.
  • Document methodologies, analytical models, and standard work processes.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and operations teams.
  • Build knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing systems and IE methodologies.

Associate Industrial Engineer (P1) Job Description Summary

Analog Devices is seeking an Associate Industrial Engineer to join the Central Industrial Engineering team. This early-career role will support factory performance improvement initiatives across multiple wafer fabrication sites through capacity modeling, data analytics, reporting automation, cycle time reduction, and scheduling optimization. Working alongside experienced Industrial Engineers at local facilities, this position will contribute to the development of cross-site analytical tools and decision-support systems that maximize factory output and enable future expansion planning.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze factory performance data and identify opportunities to increase throughput, productivity, and equipment utilization.
  • Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and analytical tools using SQL, Python, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Support validation of manufacturing scheduling data, forecasting models, and factory planning assumptions.
  • Participate in scenario analysis and what-if modeling to evaluate capacity, output, and resource requirements.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, IT, and Equipment Engineering to support improvement projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Analytics, or related engineering discipline.
  • Work Experience 0–2 years of Industrial Engineering or analytical experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform quantitative analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within geographically distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in manufacturing, operations research, data analytics, or process optimization.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
  • Coursework in statistics, simulation, optimization, data science, or manufacturing systems.
  • Exposure to semiconductor manufacturing or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
Work Experience

Work Experience 0–2 years of Industrial Engineering or analytical experience. Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform quantitative analysis. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively within geographically distributed teams.
