Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm expanding its India office. We seek professionals for the Associate Indirect Tax role, focusing on GST advisory, compliance, and related legal issues.

You will work remotely while based in Hyderabad, Chennai, or Bengaluru with occasional client travel. The role requires 1 to 3 years of Indirect tax/GST experience, CA or law degree, and strong spreadsheet/presentation skills.

Qualifications

A&M's Global Tax business has a team of highly skilled and seasoned tax professionals, experienced in providing practical tax advice to corporate and private equity clients throughout the transaction life cycle. We are now rapidly expanding across Asia and looking for bright seasoned TAX professionals for our India office.

Our professionals have significant experience on both buy side and sell side transactions across multiple different industries

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deep technical knowledge of tax Indirect tax laws particularly Goods and Services Tax (GST)Proficiency in drafting advisory opinions, appeals, replies to show cause notices, etc.
• Experience in executing GST compliance mandates for clients
• Good knowledge of legal/industry issues and abreast of developments in law.

Candidate will predominantly work remotely; however, they should be based out of Hyderabad, Chennai, or Bangalore, as occasional client travel will be required.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualified chartered accountant or lawyer1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in the Indirect tax/GST field
• Proficiency in working with spreadsheets and creating presentations
